happy

It sure has been a while, hasn’t it? To say life is sweet would be an understatement. I am freaking in love with my life right now. To catch you up with what has been going on the past few months, I turned 24, started my dream job, started my second masters, went to Costa Rica with the love of my life, bought a new car, my mama came to visit me, been working lots and lots to save up for my future, my dog is still cute as punch, and I’m honestly really really happy. So happy that I haven’t been able to even contemplate getting on here to complain and lament.

Turning 24 was well….a little emotional for me. Where have the years gone? 24 sounds so… old for some reason. Especially since I still consider myself 17. Forever 17. But, my sweet man made my birthday so sweet that I totally forgot all about my elderly age.

My dream job, I am almost done with my first semester of being a professor and let me tell you, I freaking love it. I am so passionate about it and honestly, I am so happy to be working at the college and my kiddos are just great.

My second masters has been a whirlwind. I am really enjoying what I am learning and I am doubling up on my classes to fly through it quickly. I am so excited with everything I am working on, and even though the days are long and the nights are longer writing papers, I know that the harder I work now, I will be able to enjoy myself later.

Exhausted. It’s a full time job being this cute.

On the flip side of working, I am also blessed with a beautiful man in my life who makes me laugh hysterically and honestly, chills me out so much. Life with him is sweet. We planned a trip back to PR a few months ago but when we missed our flight and spent the night in the scariest motel ever (OMG, it was so bad!!), we woke up with an hour to spare and jumped on a plane to Costa Rica. Honestly, what even is my life?

Bought a new car… Well, to say I have been needing a new car is an understatement. The Fiesta has served me well, got me through the end of college, the pandemic, and moved me from Missouri to South Carolina. Farewell to you, Fiesta. You will not be missed!!! Thanks to my man for the hours of combing the internet for cars, driving hours to check them out for me, and sitting with me all day to finally get a new one. I have yet to figure out its name, but I’m happy to be back on the road!

My mama came to visit me a few weeks ago, freaking love her. We had a blast and it was so nice to show her around now that I know more about Charleston. Ben and I had a great time with her and I’m glad she had time to come and visit me.

Work, work, work. That’s all I can say about that.

Hemingway is too cute. That’s all.

So, to make this blog short and sweet, well, I’m happy. And it sure feels damn good. Big things are coming, let’s do it.

Love you x

blessings, a
