Birthday week was intense. It was probably the best week I have had in a long time! I was treated like a complete queen and I kinda really loved it.
I’m really really blessed to have the friends and people I have in my life. Tuesday was my actual birthday, but as you know, with Alexandra, the festivities never end. However, with Covid and the fact I live on an island as the fact that 23 is gettin’ up in age (I’m old??), I was willing to make it just a week of activities, which evidently was more than enough for me. I’m still exhausted haha! Last night was the first full nights sleep I have gotten in a minute. I woke up this morning and felt like a new woman. I just can’t keep up when the big dogs I guess. My official birthday celebrations began on Tuesday but I had work and was teaching, so it felt more like a regular work day than a birthday. Yoga actually kicked my ass. I couldn’t walk correctly the rest of the day. It. Was. Perfect. Oh, and it was raining and my tire completely blew. Happy birthday to me, right?;)

From a beautiful and well thought out dinner at a really nice restaurant in Charleston, to a personal tour of the French quarter in the rain, to mead tasting downtown and a sweet peach pastry, my week went pretty damn good.

By the weekend, I was already on cloud 9 with just how good it was going. Friday night I met up for birthday celebrations with my good girlfriend Skylar, who may be the sweetest person ever. Every few weeks we get together for gossip and Brussel sprouts and this visit did not disappoint. I’m so thankful for her sweet words and friendship!

Saturday was a full blown surprise of a day, that began with chocolate chip pancakes and hot tea (my favorite!!!!) I was surprised with a super fun (and cold) historical trail ride at the Middleton Plantation and lord, I was in high heaven! Proof of happiness in photo below.

By Sunday, I was dragging. I haven’t been that social in so long, so I played multiple rounds of uno, snuggled in bed, and watched National treasure with damn good people.
I couldn’t have asked for a better week. A week to celebrate not just me, but also to enjoy my friendships and relationships with others. It really makes Charleston feel more and more like home, as well as making me feel all the more reassured that this was the move for me!! Thank you all for the birthday wishes and comments, I do appreciate ya.

This upcoming week, I am continuing on with school and pushing forward with my yoga practice. I went back today after taking the weekend off to enjoy my people, and lord, I got my ass handed to me on a platter. It felt so good. Have the best week and continue on with your goals. We got this!!!!!

Today’s Mantra:
“I AM enjoying experiences as they come to me.”
