voted… did you?

Writing this a tad bit late because I got sucked down the rabbit hole of Facebook videos, plus I watched a pretty gorgeous sun set! Although not too happy about how dark it is so early…

I’ll admit that this week and today especially, I have felt extremely anxious. I voted this morning and since then have been deep cleaning my house and work ahead on my homework for next week…. we’ll see how I feel later on tonight! I have tried to stay off social media and embrace being calm cool and collected. I am both excited and nervous for the results. Hemy definitely felt my emotions, and didn’t leave my side all day. I don’t know if it’s loyalty or he’s just too lazy to move…. I vote the latter.

I hope you, dear reader, exercised your right to vote!!!

This week was the start of my new quarter of classes, which I’m both thrilled and terrified for. I finished my last quarter November 1st and began this one November 2nd, so I had a reallyyyy nice 12 hour vacation. I personally am very proud of myself thus far though, claiming a 4.0 (!!!) But obviously as time goes on, classes get more challenging with more content and higher expectations. I definitely have my work cut out for me. Here’s to the next 8 weeks of hell? Woo! I love it. These are my kinda people though. History nerds are the absolute best kind of people.

Halloween looked a bit different this year. As you know, in the past, I liked to push boundaries on some of my outfit, (sorry mom) plus the 3+ nights of parties, activities, and events. Aside from my birthday (month), Halloween was my time to throw caution to wind and party party. (Not really but for me, yes) This year, well, I stayed in, made pasta and ate candy on the couch, with good ole Hemy boy, leaving candy in a bucket outside for the trick or treaters to grab for themselves. I missed my boyfriend and I missed my friends. All in all, it was a quiet Halloween and one in which I didn’t feel absolutely miserable about the morning after nursing a hangover. Already thinking about matching costumes for Josh and I next year though..

Have a great week, wear a mask, don’t be an asshole, and vote!
