“Why don’t you talk about God?” the message read from my inbox. Oh, what a small little question that yet held so much importance. This wasn’t the first time I had been asked this question. In a drop of an instant, I knew that my words would either make or break this person’s interest in continuing to follow my blog. Maybe you have even wondered the same thing, but just haven’t taken the time to ask. Fear no more, I’m here to answer your question, Anonymous.

I first must begin by stating that I personally do not care if you are religious, agnostic, atheist, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, Sikh, etc; You may choose to believe or not believe in whatever makes your sweet little heart happy, as long as your heart stays sweet. You don’t infringe on me, I don’t infringe on you. I support you, you support me, I love you, you love me. We’re all brothers and sisters, regardless our spiritual or lack of beliefs.

Now, in terms of writing this blog: I personally believe that in talking about religion, some will get negative feelings and completely disregard what I have to say on a weekly basis. Or, they simply won’t agree with my beliefs and that will begin a conversation that completely forgets about the blog topic. Not everyone is religious or has my exact beliefs. I am a little bit more open and secular in my posts because I have many theist, agnostic, and theist followers who have personally come to me and have engaged in beautiful dialogue, despite our differences. I personally don’t have to preach scripture or even tell someone my beliefs to make them understand what we are all collectively going through as humans. If anything, my lack of giving a straightforward answer in my writing leaves open interpretation for my readers to allow themselves to think about what they feel and believe.

My blog is an interactive platform for thousands that I am communicating with, some anonymously, of all different genders, races, ages, and yes, religions, every single day.

However, religious or not, we all have different struggles and due to circumstances in our lives, deal with them differently. For me, I wish to approach these topics/problems without feeling like I’m forcing my views on someone. I like to leave the conversation open to interpretation. There are very few things I personally demand; sincerity, an open mind, and the belief that all of this trouble apart of a plan so much bigger than a bad day.

I wish for my posts to reach you where you are, and to help you on your journey. Young or old, we are all on a different path and must lean on one another to help get through the rough patches and to have friends to enjoy the sweet moments with. For thousands of years, we have let differences in our faith separate us. In doing so, we are only pushing each other further away.

So, dear readers, a blessing to you: If you are lonely, you are not alone. If you are hungry, someone will feed your soul. If you are tired, you will find rest. If you are broken, you will heal. Regardless of what you believe, I wish these weekly letters to be a space which allow you to take time and patch up those holes in your heart and to heal.
“Are you feeling fearful, brother?
Are you feeling fearful, sister?
The only way to lose that fearful feeling
Replace it with love that’s healing”
Today’s Mantra:
“I AM believing that there will always be love.”
loving you no matter what.
blessings, a
