In the beginning of 2019, I set two personal goals for myself; to be more sincere in what I did and to be more spontaneous. A few days ago, I felt this urge to just get out of town so I called up my best friend Mary Elizabeth, booked a condo, drove 12 hours, and am currently lounging on the beach, drink in hand, soaking up the sun. FOLKS, I AM LIVING MY BEST LIFE! I think I need to move here because I already feel like a better version of myself. I mean, give me all that vitamin D. I’m soaking it all up!

I feel like I haven’t seen the sun in years. But the sand! The sun! The palm trees! The warm wind on my face! Yep friends, I don’t think I want to ever come home….

I have gotten some really wonderful feedback on my website and I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of the support. It’s so exciting, a little terrifying, but 100% worth it.

This will be a short post today because ya girl is planning on relaxing, reading my romance novels, and doing absolutely nothing for the next week. I plan on coming back to school a new refreshed, healthy, glowing version of Alexandra. It’s the best time of the year, more sun, nature coming back to life, and just feeling good. This will be my official last summer back home in Missouri and I plan on not only working my tail off, but taking some time to do more with my friends and family.

Today is my sweet baby sister’s sweet 16th birthday, and I couldn’t be more proud of her. Realizing that I was just 16 a few years ago, and being a total and complete disaster at that age, I am shocked by the fact she is so grown up, even though I think of her as the 11 year old goofy little girl. it’s truly amazing to me just how beautiful she is. Not only on the outside, but on the inside.

I always joke that I’m shy compared to her, because it’s the damn truth. I love the way she carries herself with confidence, even though she is by far the most beautiful girl in the room, she absolutely humbles herself so that she makes you feel beautiful. She is an absolute girls girl. Every trip we go on as a family, I’ll be alone reading my books, and Belly will always be walking past with a group of new friends she just met. If anyone could make you feel good about yourself, it’s Belly. I’ll give ya the truth, Bella will give you the compliments.

I have three older sisters, but they are much older than me, so I never had that “cool older sister” to really look up to, but it wasn’t until I moved away to college that I really felt that separation. I am so incredibly proud of her accomplishments, her dreams, her sweet little group of friends, her faith, her kindness, and her creativity. Happy sweet 16th birthday Belly. Can’t wait to come home and celebrate with you.
