the good

So, ladies and gents, last week was a perfect example of

S E A S O N A L   A F F E C T I V E   D I S O R D E R.

The sun poked its head out from behind the clouds, its got up to 75 degrees out, and all of a sudden, I felt like a new person. Literally ask my roommate. I’m like Tigger from Winnie the Pooh on days like today, just happy and bouncing around. You can definitely tell the difference in my mood by the songs I play on repeats… last week, “R.I.P to my Youth”, and this week, “Simple Life“. As silly as it totally seems and I can definitely laugh about it looking back, it is definitely something to discuss . I felt so shitty and now I feel fine, weird right? Not even just fine, but more like myself. I have decided I am moving to the desert where the sun will always shine. I need it!!blog60..,

I do have to do a quick shout out to a product. It’s called a Happylight and it has honestly really been helping me a lot! Basically, I was a bit skeptical but tried it out. Instead of investing in a lamp and a tank to put myself into like a little lizard, I just have this light on me for 30 minutes-hour a day and I feel actually kinda refreshed. Now, it’s nothing like the real sun but it definitely doesn’t hurt to have it on me. I should honestly turn it on while I am waking up in the morning but I’m not THAT much of a go getter…..

ENJOYING THE SUN!!!! THE GOOD!!! THE KNOWLEDGE!!!

This weekend was solid. I wasn’t freezing to death when I went out so all was well. Now that I’m officially 21 (I can’t even believe that…???) I can officially go out to Dickson Street, which is Fayetteville’s bar scene. Of course, having been here for the last three years and not being able to attend the festivities of the legal life, I was itching to go out. My roommate has been waiting for me to turn 21 for about forever and we had an absolute blast. The only problem I ran into was the fact that half of my friends are 21 and the other half still have a few more months till we can all be together. SOON ENOUGH! Regardless, I had an awesome time… said the grandma. I’m gonna be honest, I’m definitely not huge into the party scene. I’m entirely too tired to be out later than I have to be. I spent Saturday resting and doing homework, psyching myself up to go out. Y’all, I’ve been out of the night life for quite a while now. I’m getting there, but I still have to resist the urge to get on my fuzzy socks, oversized T-shirt, and glasses and settle myself comfortably in bed with a nice movie that I fall asleep to halfway through. I’m an 80 year old woman trapped in a 21 one year olds body.

new friends! (why do we all look related???)

Hey, have the best week and enjoy the weather while we still got it!!! I have had such an amazing past few days, it’s honestly just amazing how a little bit of nice weather can completely change my mood. I saw my first small bloom of flowers outside my place today and it made my little heart happy. I have been driving around town, windows down, screaming my head off to music (full dance moves and everything… if you ever see me on the road, you’re in for quite a show….) I don’t have any huge theoretical insights to live a better life this week, but honestly, if you cheered for the Patriots and Tom Brady, we may not be good friends in real life.  Love ya anyways xx.

blog60,
I laughed way too hard at this. WHEW.

Today’s Mantra:

I AM enjoying the beauty around me.”

loving the sun.

  1. I’ve never looked into your blogs before! It’s actually very interesting seeing someone talk about their weekend and life in such a positive way! Very cool and don’t worry about being old at 21. Going out and drinking in Dickson can get you in trouble. Never the less of course enjoy it! Hope you have a good week and great day!
