Raw.

The sheer innocence of humanity. I know we live in a world that seems evil, dark, and twisted. But as I write this, I am keeping an eye on a girl’s purse and computer while she uses the restroom. I have never met her before, but when I walked into the coffee shop, she sneezed and like second nature, I said bless you. She looked at me with the most grateful face. Later on, she asked if I could watch her stuff, as if we had known each other for years. This is a home feeling. What is home? We wish to believe in something. Something good. Something real. Something raw. We are always on the look out for home. It’s not just a place. It’s a feeling, that can be found in places and people. It is an experience you have. A warmth, a safe haven, a tender love. I have found home in people. In my surroundings. In myself. I pray you find a sense of home one day.

What is my philosophy? What are my rules that I live by? As you can probably guess, I am pretty liberal… Whoops. However, whichever political party that I am registered to is not who I AM. My mantra is life is to do good to myself. Do good to others. Work hard. Never stop working. Never stop dreaming. Never cheat. Never lie. Do what makes you happy. Condemn what is wrong. Speak up, speak out. Live your best life now. Don’t waste your time. Love hard. Love loudly. Don’t be afraid. Cry but don’t let it keep you down. You will be okay. There is a reason for all of this that we cannot yet see. Love your mom. Be nice to animals. Eat your veggies. Drink water.

So, it’s still something that just shakes me up every time it happens, but I guess I sometimes forget that I am posting to the public and people actually read what I have to say!! Thank you to all who have read my work and come up and meet me. I absolutely love it. Thank you for quoting my words back to me. I take it to heart more than you know. blog27......

I have got to be honest here. This past week KILLED me with the amount of papers I had to write and tests I had to prepare for, so my post this week is going to be cut a little short. Thank you for being patient with me while I filter through my messages from you all. Thank you for taking my words to heart and really thinking about what you LOVE about yourself.

blog27.,

With the sun coming out more often, I feel a breath of fresh air giving me life. I’m ready to hit the road and start traveling again. Fingers crossed the yucky weather is gone for good and we can start getting ready for the warm days and sweet cool nights. Speaking of traveling, I will be in Tulsa this weekend and would love to hear from my readers. Is there any place that I DESPERATELY need to go to? Let me know!!

Happy spring, happy allergies! Go to your local farmer’s market and pick up some of your local honey. You can thank me later.

Enjoy this song. If you’re ever unfortunate and have to drive with me, first off, know that I failed my permit test like 5 times (I’m ashamed) and then passed my driving test the 3rd time (I cried), so I’m a pretty awful driver and I have a personal concert in the car every time I drive. This is one of those songs I scream my head off to. Sorry…

Today’s Mantra:

“The Present Moment is my point of power. I AM fully present here & now.”

Love to all.

blessings, a
