Love is….

Love is unexplainable. Love is beautiful. Love is unexpected. Love is taking 30 seconds of courage. Love is making the first move. Love is olive green t-shirts. Love is a carrot cake. Love is California. Love is staying up to 3am talking on the phone. Love is kissing by the lake. Love is laying in a hammock. Love is fireworks. Love is peaches. Love is Sunday Candy. Love is good morning and good night texts. Love is making plans. Love is crying in a cathedral. Love is patient. Love is making a playlist for each other. Love is looking at the driver’s seat and tears coming to your eyes, as they drive down the road. Love is the sun coming through the window, warming your body, watching the person next to you sing off key to a song on the radio. Love is letting those tears fall from your eyes, not embarrassed for feeling how you do. Love is new experiences. Love is getting lost on a road trip. Love is adoring. Love is boundaries. Love is watching them admire artwork. Love is a summer fair. Love is finding your person. Love is driving with the windows down, smelling the early morning dew from the grass and knowing you’ll be in their arms soon. Love is looking at their body and wondering how you got so lucky to be with such a body. Love is a drug.  Love is a tattoo. Love is laying chest to chest. Love is giving someone the power to destroy you but trusting them not to. Love is the smell of old books. Love is speeding down the highway, getting pulled over and given a ticket because you were just too excited to sneak into bed with your person. Love is exploring a museum together, getting dirty looks for giggling too much. Love is making the windows of the car steamy. Love is waking up to a phone call at 3 am that they came into town early to see you. Love is never going to bed angry. Love is waffle house for breakfast. Love is learning more about yourself. Love is learning more about them. Love is patient. Love is smooth jazz. Love is picking a song for your relationship. Love makes you dizzy. Love is getting lost in a bookstore for hours. Love is fighting for someone. Love is Wednesday night FaceTime dates. Love is not caring who looks. Love is praying one another. Love is back rubs. Love is doing face masks together. Love is keeping each other warm. Love is not understanding someone but figuring out how to. Love is going to concerts. Love is staying at home. Love is making a mess of the bed. Love is smeared lipstick. Love is teasing. Love is being apart of the family. Love is putting up Christmas lights together. Love is planning for a future. Love is deaf, is blind, is silent, is loud. Love gives you butterflies. Love is holding each other and crying. Love makes you glad to be alive. Love is counting down days till you see each other. Love is forever missing the other. Love is feeling high and being sober. Love is crying for 2 weeks straight after it ends. Love is therapy sessions. Love is seeing them in everyone. Love is life-changing. Love is feeling heartbreak so hard your chest hurts. Love is walking into a coffee shop and never wanting to leave because the smells bring back memories. Love is never forgetting their favorite color. Love is doing a double take when you see a car that looks like theirs. Love knows failure. Love is seeing their eyes when you close yours. Love is 30 seconds of courage. Love is unexpected. Love is beautiful. Love is unexplainable. Love is.
