Pushing Past the Limit

Have you ever been totally fine and then all of a sudden you sneeze 70 times in a row? I actually got a headache the other day from how many times my head violently moved b back and forth to sneeze.  I am dramatic in all things, including sneezing. Normally when you catch a cold or get allergies, it comes slowly. Nope. I was having a good time and bam, my throat closed up, I sneezed like a maniac and my eyes wouldn’t stop watering. Sexy, I know. Just when I think I am navigating and understanding my body better, I’m hit with something like this. So of course, WebMD is our best friend. Note to Self, WEBMD IS NOT YOUR FRIEND. All in a matter of 2 clicks, I was dying of a fatal disease which I’m sure induced more anxiety which then induced more sneezing. My poor poor roommate, bless her soul, I don’t know how she deals with me. I don’t know anyone does, honestly. Would I put up with me???

Living a day in the life of Alexandra:

First, you have to have a lot of plants. And I don’t mean like 3 or 4. I’m talking A LOT of plants. Fill your home. I bring nature home with me. If I could bring a tree to live indoors, I would.

Second, know every single Vine reference known to mankind because I bring up at least 10-15 Vine references a day. My communication skills are cut short if someone doesn’t know the references. I get stuck looking like a weirdo saying, ‘it is Wednesday my dudes, ahhhhhhhhhhhh’, with no one understanding.

Third, get ready for a rant. Daily. I wouldn’t call it a rant. More like a lecture. I like to educate those around me with very unnecessary information that I believe will one day win them a spot on jeopardy. Or at least give them a fun accessory to fill awkward silence in an elevator.

Fourth, no need to turn off the lights at night. I can sleep through anything. The words, ‘Good night’ barely pass my lips and I am already in deep sleep.

Fifth, I have a habit of eating Chick-fil-A sauce with almost anything edible. I think it is a blessing that has been put on this Earth, and every day with the Chick-fil-A sauce is another day to be grateful to be alive. Chick-fil-A sauce is the backbone of this country. Amen.

Sixth, learn just enough trending music to have general knowledge about what is going on in the world, but to also be able to sing along to music on car rides. Sing along, or mouth ‘watermelon, watermelon, watermelon’ over and over again. Trust me. It works.

Seventh, be the loudest person in the room, even if it is unintentional. Hit the table when you think something is hysterical and throw you head back in laughter. Tear should steam down your face because people are hilarious. Laugh loud and don’t hold back.

Eighth, When passing a field of cows, moo. Because what else would you do when you see cows?

Ninth, take either three weeks or three years to finish a tv series on Netflix. There is no inbetween.

Tenth, never wear a bra again.

This weekend I had the pleasure of traveling all the way to Bonner Springs, Kansas to attend Flyover festival, who headlined Post Malone. Ok, so if you know me at all, you’ll know I have a very abnormal obsession with him. First off, we waited for literally 7 hours for him to come out, and while there were some other really awesome musicians, I was there for him. He didn’t come out until midnight, which is so late. Okay, so FINALLY, the lights come on and I think I had a sort of  out of body experience, clinging to my friends. Everyone was screaming at the top of their lungs and jumping up and down. He was absolutely amazing and beautiful in concert. His voice, his stage presence, the fact he thanked us after every song. He was honest and just wonderful. Thank you Post for a fantastic concert!
