Hello, hello, hello. Thank you for your patience with me this past week and a half. I have been home for spring break working like a crazy woman and getting the creative juices flowing, as well as (trying) to relax…..

Here are some fun things that have happened in my life this week…..
I had such a fun St. Patrick’s Day at Waxy O’Shea’s Irish Pub, feeling VERY Irish with my VERY Irish dad….

I am feeling free this week. I am now on day 5 of no makeup and guess what, your girl is feeling good. Curly hair and freckles out, the sun is shining and it feels more and more like spring. (Although today is so rainy… March showers bring April flowers…?)

Oh. And I am also pleased to announce that I am now the mama to Napoleon, my new baby hedgehog. He is so precious and he is already so loved. (I’m kind of obsessed with him!!) Stay tuned for more pictures and videos. Have a hedgehog or know someone who does? Comment below or message me if you have any tips for a new owner!
I feel good this week. Other than the fact Napoleon is nocturnal and kept me up the first night we had him, I feel good. I am going to have a crazy busy two weeks with school and fashion shows, but man. It’s warming up outside and I feel a surge of happiness after being stuck inside for the past few cold winter months.
Being home this past week, I had a good amount of time to think about my childhood. I was born and raised in this little town in the midwest and I guess the realization that I am now 20 just hit me. I remember it like yesterday playing in my backyard, taking piano lessons with Mrs. Walker, snuggling up on the couch with a book while mom cooked dinner. It was simple. Life is busier than it had ever been now, but still simple. The past two years at school have flown by so quickly and I know that the next two years will go by even faster. Am I ready though? I am an adult, but in many ways, I feel so young. I have so much to learn and yet, feel as though I know so much.

I had the opportunity this week to have different discussions with those close to me about how we all going through stuff. What kind of “stuff’ am I talking about? I’m talking about situations and events in our personal, professional, and public life. Whether it be a mental or physical battle, we are all either about to go into a storm, in a storm, or coming out of one. This is why I write. I write for those who have no where else to go. For those who are so stuck that they can’t move or breathe. I write for insights on my life. It looks so pretty on the outside, doesn’t it? Well. We all have problem, faults, and issues. No one is truly alone. You’re so unique, but not alone. Someone else either knows exactly what you’re going through, or has gone through something worse. Take yours scars, your broken pieces, your crushed limbs, and tell your story. You never know who you could help. Be the person you needed when you were young.

Get excited because it’s FASHION WEEK! It’s not too late to get your tickets! I’ll be walking Thursday, Friday and Saturday night and you don’t want to miss it!!
